En la noche de ayer tuvo lugar la gala de entrega de los premios que anualmente otorga la Asociación de Profesionales de la Comunicación de Avilés (APCA) a la mejor y peor fuente informativa. Last night took place the ceremony of the awards that the Asociación de Profesionales de la Comunicación de Avilés (APCA) give every year to the best and worst source of information. Talleres de cómic / Comic Workshops

En las próximas semanas se pondrán en marcha sendos talleres de cómic que tendré la suerte de impartir. Será una nueva experiencia a la que tengo muchas ganas, ya que comprende a alumnos de todas las edades y seguro que de la actividad aprenderemos todos.

In the coming weeks there will be launched two separate comic shops that I will be lucky to perform. It will be a new experience which I desire, because it includes students of all ages and I'm sure we all will learn a lot.

El primero de los talleres comenzará el próximo viernes 10 de febrero (ojo, que en el cartel pone el día 3 de febrero, pero se retrasa una semana) y tendrá lugar en la librería Los Sueños de Alenia de Avilés. Estará dirigido a niños de 5 a 12 años divididos en dos grupos en función de la edad, y se desarrollará durante nueve sesiones los viernes por la tarde.

The first workshop will begin on Friday, February 10 (note that the poster put on 3 February, but it was delayed a week) and will be held in the Library Los Sueños de Alenia (Avilés). It will be aimed at children aged 5 to 12 years divided into two groups according to age, and will run for nine sessions on Friday afternoons.

El segundo taller comenzará en el mes de marzo, aunque el periodo de matrícula arrancará el 23 de febrero. Se desarrollará en la Factoría Cultural de Avilés y estará dirigido a alumnos a partir de 16 años. En este curso los alumnos desarrollarán su propio tebeo a partir de los conceptos que irán aprendiendo en clase.

The second workshop will begin in March, but the registration period will start on 23 February. It will be held at the Factoría Cultural (Avilés) and will be aimed at students starting from the age of 16 years. In this course students will develop their own comics based on the concepts they will be learning in class.

La meta es el viaje / The aim is the journey

La primera entrada de un blog siempre es una cuestión emocionante. Uno en realidad no sabe muy bien qué decir, cómo dar la bienvenida a los posibles internautas que se acerquen por su rincón. Pero, en realidad, eso no importa, porque el objetivo de esta nueva página no es aburrir al personal con largas parrafadas y textos interminables, sino simplemente mostrar e informar: mostrar los dibujos que van componiendo mi pequeña carrera como ilustrador, e informar sobre aquellos trabajos más recientes u otras actividades que van componiendo mi día a día y que pueden ser de interés para aquellos amantes del dibujo, el color y la imaginación.

The first blog's entry is always an exciting question. You don't really know what to say, how to welcome the potential Internet users who visit the corner. But it doesn't matter. In fact, the goal of this new page is not boring the staff with long paragraphs and endless text, but simply to show and report: show the pictures representing my little career as an illustrator, and report about my more recent work or other activities which reflect my day to day and may be of interest to those who love drawing, color and imagination.
